Join the National Life team at the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life on June 22 at the Montpelier High School.
The event begins at 6:00 pm on June 22, and goes until 6:00 am on the 23rd.
This year’s theme is Wish Upon a Cure. To join our team, visit the Relay For Life website and search our team name, Dreamers for a Cure NLG!
We encourage you to get your family and friends to join our team as well, all are welcome!
If you do not want to join the team but still wish to help, there are purple Relay For Life coin drop buckets on the 3rd, 4th, and 5th floors.
During the event, there’s a luminaria ceremony. The luminaries can be in honor of a cancer survivor, in support of a cancer fighter, or in memory of a loved one that has been lost to cancer. The bags will line the track and bleachers at the relay, and are lit at dusk, when the names on each bag is read aloud.
If you want to decorate your own luminaria to dedicate, you can see Aslin Trepanier, Susan Bernier, Brittany Bernier for the luminaria bags. Or, if you would like to dedicate a luminaria but don’t want to decorate it yourself, the NLG relay team will be more than happy to decorate it for you.
