The National Life Foundation is a proud supporter of the Montpelier Chamber Orchestra. Join marimba soloist Jane Boxall at the Montpelier Chamber Orchestra for a free, all-ages concerts at the Vermont College of Fine Arts on Saturday, November 17th at 7 pm and Sunday, November 18th at 4 pm.
Boxall will perform the Concerto para Marimba y Orchestra No. 1, Op. 20 (1957) by Guatemalan composer Jorge Sarmientos. Reservations can be made at https://www.mcovt.org/programs/ but advance reservations are not necessary.

MCO Artistic Director, Anne Decker, leads the orchestra in additional music by Latin American composers: Alberto Ginastera’s Dances from Estancia op. 8a (Argentina, 1941) and the American premiere of Diana Syrse’s Colección de Realidades (Mexico, 2012). Finishing off the concert is Franz Schubert’s Symphony No. 8, D. 759, B minor (Unfinished).
