Just like last year, our Spring Volunteer Week will have an entire week of volunteer opportunities for the Texas and Vermont campuses.
During the week of May 1-5, there will be several opportunities to DO GOOD with local nonprofits in Texas and Vermont, including helping with the statewide Green-Up Day in Vermont.
This year, we reached out to even more nonprofits that are in need of our help. The types of work range from planting peppers at The Vermont Youth Conservation Corps greenhouse, sorting and packing food at the North Texas and Vermont Foodbanks, helping with mailings at the Montpelier Senior Center, working at the Passive Build for Central Vermont Habitat for Humanity, assisting with barn maintenance and stalls for Equest, and delivering meals for Meals on Wheels in Texas.
Click here for the survey where you can sign up. Please be sure to select your campus and the event that you would like to participate in.
This year, we will not be asking for your top three choices. Instead, you will select from the events available. They will be on a first come, first serve basis. You’re also welcome to sign up for more than one event during the week.
If you work remotely, we encourage you to also volunteer during the week of May 1-5 at a nonprofit in your area.
If you already have one of the black volunteer T-shirts, please plan to wear it. If you need one, you’ll be able to indicate what size you need on the survey.
Also, don’t forget to log your hours in Ultipro. The hours count towards our Corporate Social Responsibility goals.
Last year we had over 150 volunteers. We hope to exceed that number this year. So please be sure to sign up!
