Mehran still doesn’t want gift cards, update those iOS devices, and why you should really use a password manager.
You may remember back in August of 2021 we alerted our associates to an active CEO fraud campaign that was targeting NLG employees. This campaign involved a bad actor, sending both text messages and emails, impersonating Mehran and asking employees to perform a financial transaction on his behalf, usually involving gift cards.
Unfortunately, we have received reports that this activity is still occurring, with an employee recently receiving a similar request. To stay safe, remember that prior to executing a financial transaction on behalf of anyone, it is always best to contact that individual through a known and valid method of contact to confirm the request. Also, Mehran doesn’t want gift cards, we promise.

Update iOS Devices
It’s time to update your iPhone (and other iOS devices). Apple released a new software update that patches two critical security vulnerabilities that are being actively exploited in the wild to hack iPhones, iPads and Macs. This is serious enough that the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Agency (CISA) has ordered federal agencies to update by May 1st, but you should do so ASAP. To ensure you are protected, ensure your device is updated to at least the following versions:
- iOS – 16.4.1
- iPadOS – 16.4.1
- macOS Ventura – 13.3.1
- Safari -16.4.1
