Our fall volunteer push is well under way, and employees have been out doing good for local nonprofits.
The picture above is from the Waterbury Town Pool, where volunteers helped to paint the pool house there.
There’s still more work to be done though. Check out these opportunities that the Volunteer Committee has organized, use up some of your paid volunteer hours, and help to spread the good.
This year, the sign up process will be a little different.
Instead of completing a survey, please email the Vermont Volunteer Committee and the Texas Volunteer Committee to sign up for an event and you’ll receive a meeting invite with all of the info that you will need.
We’ll continue to update the list of events every week, so stay tuned for more to come.
Vermont Campus Events:
Central Vermont Home Health and Hospice
Location: Montpelier, VT
Event Info: Volunteers will be asked to work for 1 ½ – 2 hour shifts at the CVHHH health clinics.
They will be responsible for greeting guests, directing guests within the location, and assisting as needed with paperwork.
Date: October 9th
Time: 11:00-1:00

Vermont Foodbank
Location: Barre, VT
Event Info: Sorting and boxing food in the Foodbank’s warehouse.
Dates: October 25th, Novemeber 1st, November 8th.
Time: 9:00-12:00
Number of volunteers needed: 7
Stowe Land Trust
They nonprofit is in need of group of 5-10 volunteers who would like to help out for a few hours with splitting & stacking some firewood at the Mill Trail property in Stowe.
It would involve hauling bucked up logs a short distance to a splitter then carrying split wood up a little hill to stack next to the cabin.
Date: Wednesday, October 18th.
Time: 1:00-4:00
National Life Gardens
We have hundreds of bulbs to plant and we are asking for your help!
Please join us from 10:00 am – noon on Friday October 20th to plant bulbs, prune and cut back gardens, and help get National life gardens ready for Winter.
Volunteers and staff will meet outside the main lobby for brief instruction.
Bring a bulb planting tool and or a trowel if you have them as extra tools are limited.

Texas Campus Events:
Volunteer at the Trains at Northpark Benefiting Ronald McDonald House of Dallas
Most shifts are 3 hours.
Please dress appropriately for the event. Comfortable shoes are necessary and we ask that you do not wear shorts, flip flops or sweat pants.
Volunteers must be 15 to volunteer without a parent and 12 to volunteer with a parent.
