Have you seen some familiar faces in your social media feeds? People from all over National Life — and the nation — are jumping on the latest social media challenge…that can actually Do good in the world!

You can get in on the #PaperPlateChallenge. For each social media post that uses #DoGoodFeedKids in November, National Life will donate a dollar — up to a total of $50,000 —to the Vermont and North Texas Food Banks.

Here’s how to join:

  1. Write with a marker on a paper plate something you are grateful for this holiday season.
  2. Take a photo or a video of yourself holding the plate and make a social post on your account(s). Any platform is good, but Facebook and Instagram are great.
  3. In the text (and in the video, if you’re up for that), say that:
    1. I’m taking the #PaperPlateChallenge!
    2. I’m grateful for ________. Here’s why _________.
    3. Unfortunately, 1 in 6 kids may not know where they will get their next meal this holiday season. Here’s how I’m going to help: (examples — specific volunteering, donations)
  4. Tag three friends, family, and/or colleagues to join you in the challenge
  5. Add the hashtags
    #DoGoodFeedKids
    #PaperPlateChallenge
    #EndChildhoodHunger
