Fearless Fridays, the group of employees that works to give anyone who wishes to join an opportunity to step back and reflect, is focusing on refocusing as we enter 2021.
The group has organized book discussions and shared movie-watching that was paired with discussions. It also has helped organize conversations around race over the past year.
This past Friday, the group decided it was time to step back again and reflect on what might be most valuable to all of us as we enter the new year.
Organizers have invited anyone in the company to offer feedback on their work and what future sessions might tackle.
One of the key takeaways from the group’s most recent conversation was pretty simple: “We need to take time to have these conversations. We need to take time to reflect.”
With most of us still working remotely until the pandemic retreats, it remains just as important to be mindful of the challenges of the world around us.
That’s because all of those challenges ultimately have an effect on our work.
So gathering with colleagues who are thinking about similar issues is important, especially in remaining upbeat.
As one person observed at the most recent meeting, we need to “be proactive at being positive.”
