Here are the facility updates for the Texas and Vermont campuses.
Dallas Campus Activities
Modernization
* The space changes on the Addison campus are completed. We will be adjusting some areas due to optimization and space needs. We are actively working on finding a 7th floor sublease tenant.
Life Safety
* We will be issuing access control photo id’s to all Addison employees in the future.
Vermont Campus Activities
Parking Management System Upgrades
* We have begun the roll out the new parking management software. Please encourage your teams to register their vehicles. The new system will help with parking enforcement, notification to drivers of issues with vehicles, and an automated ticketing process.
Electrical Upgrade Project
* The electrical infrastructure project includes replacing the aging electrical components in the main building by the end of this year. We will begin staggered power outages throughout the main building in March. We will notify occupants in advance on this work.
Main Building Lobby
* The main building lobby will be renovated in 2017. We are working with an architect on possible designs. We are looking to make this a marquee space for National Life Group.
Logging on National Life Property
* As part of our woodland conservation plan, we will be logging two large portions of wooded areas. The trees are marked for removal and logging work will begin in late February and continue through the winter months. Please be aware of the equipment when using the trails.
Life Safety
* We conducted the shelter in place (lockdown) drill on the campus last month. This event was successful in order to create an awareness of procedures and identify opportunities for improvement. Thanks to all who participated.
