I am pleased to share several important management team changes at Equity Services, effective April 8, 2019.

As you are aware, Tim Ryder, Head of Operations for Equity Services, will join the Customer Innovation Group reporting to Vesta Bovair, SVP National Life, as Head of Field Services. I would like to thank Tim for his many contributions over the past several years while overseeing the firm’s compensation, service, and suitability teams. He has also provided sound advice and council as a key member of the ESI management team. His contributions will positively impact ESI for many years to come.

Greg Teese, Equity Services SVP and Chief Compliance Officer, will assume the position of Equity Services SVP Head of Operations. Greg has led the organization through countless regulatory examinations and helped the firm steer clear of many industry challenges over the past 20 years. He has developed a highly qualified compliance team and now has a strong desire to lead the firm in a new capacity. Greg will now focus on the firm’s back-office operations, in particular the continued enhancement of the agent and client experience as well as the improvement of operating efficiencies in the field and home office.

In addition to Greg’s transition to a new role, I am also pleased to announce that Scott Solod, who joined National Life Group in 2016, will be taking over the role of Chief Compliance Officer for Equity Services.  Scott’s 20 years of specialized experience in the development of compliance programs, supervisory systems, risk management, regulatory exam coordination and personnel management has made him a highly valued contributor, playing a key role in numerous regulatory examinations that began shortly after his hire. Scott has an excellent customer service and problem-solving mindset and is fully committed to continuing the Compliance team’s journey to live the values of being “lifeguards” to protect their stakeholders.

Please join me in congratulating Tim, Greg, and Scott on their new roles.

– Lance Reihl, President of ESI
