The ESI Compliance team has over half of its members operating on a remote basis and it can be tough to find opportunities for the entire team to get together. During the first week of November though, they made time to team up and volunteer.
After thinking deeply about how to best live our company values and how to serve our business partners, the ESI Compliance team joined together and decided to be “Lifeguards” instead of “Traffic Cops.” After three days focusing on their “lifeguard journey,” the team put in volunteer time at the Vermont Foodbank. They sorted and packaged salvaged donations from grocery stores, carefully inspecting each for damage and contamination. In total, the team inspected, packed, and sorted 2,156 pounds of food items, amounting to nearly 1,800 meals for Vermonters facing hunger!
“You should all feel so proud of your hard work and dedication to fighting hunger. The work you did translates to individuals and families all over receiving nourishing food, and that is awesome. Thank you for donating your time to fighting hunger in Vermont. We are so grateful for each and every one of you.”
– Kate Steward, Volunteer Services Coordinator, Vermont Foodbank
What a great example of living our values. Thanks for doing good, ESI Compliance Team!
