Are you a regular donor when the American Red Cross visits for blood drives?

Well, you may occasionally wonder how your donation might have helped.

Laurie Noyes did, although she never asked. How can that sort of thing be tracked, after all, right?

So she and Shawna Gaboriault were surprised to get emails from the Red Cross with some pretty specific about how they had been able to help.

After the October  blood drive on the Vermont campus, Shawna was told: “After first ensuring that local needs were met, your blood donation was sent to Saint Anne’s Hospital in Fall River, MA to help a patient in need. Your donation is on its way to change lives!”

And Laurie got a note, too, and was told her blood donation was sent to South Shore Hospital in South Weymouth, Mass.

Laurie was also presented a certificate for outstanding blood drive coordinator.
