A group of Do Gooders volunteered at the Vermont Foodbank recently, packing over 1,800 pounds of fresh apples in a single shift!
Here’s the thank you message that Neil O’Sullivan, Phil Leonardi, John Gausden and Michele Fournier received this week from the Foodbank:
In a single shift your group packed 1,824 pounds of delicious and fresh apples. As you might imagine, fresh and healthy produce is one of the most popular things at our VeggieVanGo and VT Fresh events, as well some of the top requested items at our network partner food shelves. Your hard work gave Vermonters facing hunger the chance to bring delicious, healthy and often local produce home to their families. I hope you are all absolutely amazed by what you accomplished. We are so grateful for your support, enthusiasm and amazing teamwork!
Way to Do Good, team!
