More than three dozen National Life employees, friends and spouses climbed on their bicycles this past weekend to pedal against hunger
The Do Good Team participated in the 16th annual Harpoon Point to Point Presented by National Life Group to raise money and awareness for the Vermont Foodbank.
We had 41 who signed up for the team this year, the second largest team at the event. More than 680 people rode the hilly courses around Windsor.
The fund-raising total hasn’t been finalized because riders have until the end of the month to finish their fund-raising.
But National Life’s team has already raised a total of roughly $12,000 and that number is likely to rise over the next couple of weeks. That was also the second highest total of all the Harpoon Point to Point teams.
And one of our riders, Robin Cannon, was among the highest individual fund-raisers at the ride. He raised $2,635.
