Our Do Good Fest brand will be expanding to Texas this fall.
National Life is partnering with the Levitt Pavilion for the Performing Arts in Arlington to stage a Texas version of our signature music event.
We will still be staging the original Do Good Fest in Vermont. This summer it will be on July 18.
But now we’re taking our message to Texas, as well.
We don’t have a specific date, yet. We’re working with the team at Levitt Pavilion on a handful of potential artists and we’re aiming for a show in September.
The event will be different from what is staged in Vermont. It will be free admission. In Vermont we raise money for charity by charging for parking.
That’s not an option in Arlington, so we’re working on another way to support a worthy cause, possibly through a food drive.
We’re excited to deepen our partnership with Levitt-Arlington, which is about a 30-minute drive from our Addison campus. The National Life Foundation has sponsored one of the concerts in the pavilion’s summer series for a few years.
By expanding that partnership, we will brand a night in the fall as a National Life Do Good Fest and we will be able to help draw a bigger name.
The Levitt Pavilion is affiliated with the Mortimer & Mimi Levitt Foundation, which is “dedicated to reinvigorating America’s public spaces through creative placemaking and creating opportunities for everyone to experience the performing arts.”
The Pavilion in Arlington is a beautiful facility with a full stage facing a large lawn directly across the street from Arlington City Hall. Concerts attract anywhere from 2,000 to 12,000 people for music under the stars.
It presents more than 50 concerts every year. The acts range from jazz to home-grown Texas country acts to emerging indie artists.
We’re excited to work with Levitt in a way that will help us spread the word about National Life’s dedication to doing good in our communities.
