It takes a village to pull off an event like Do Good Fest, and this year’s event was far from an exception! In fact, it was the most successful to date, attracting more than 10,000 people and raising $50,000 for the Branches of Hope Cancer Patient Fund at Central Vermont Medical Center.

This year was especially demanding on volunteers who were wrangling everything from parking to merchandise sales, and so much more. Organizers of the Do Good Fest and representatives from Branches of Hope had a chance to say ‘Thank You’ to those volunteers earlier this week with an appreciation event on campus.

The hospital also highlighted the Community Service Award it presented to CEO Mehran Assadi on the day of the festival. The glass bowl is on display on executive row.

Chris Graff, Mehran and CVMC’s Mark Gagnon all touched upon on the importance of the Do Good Fest and the difference the contributions are making for cancer patients in the Central Vermont area. The appreciation event wrapped up with a check presentation to Branches of Hope and a cold treat from Curly Girl Pops.

This year’s total brings the amount raised to $185,000 for Branches of Hope since Do Good Fest first launched in 2014.
