Our Community Giving Campaign ended in December, and the thank you’s from nonprofits have already been pouring in.
Here’s one we just received from Almost Home Dog Rescue and Rehab in Berlin, Vermont.
“I want to thank you and your company for going above and beyond to help your employees contribute to causes and not for profit organizations in our community.
At Almost Home 100% of all donations goes directly to the dogs. We take care of dogs that otherwise would have been euthanized because of disabilities or their past. Dogs that no one wanted.
So food and vet care are our largest expenses. This program fed the dogs for almost 4 weeks, which is such a huge help.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for helping your employees support us and for your very generous program.
Words cannot express our gratitude. So from all the pooches at Almost Home and from Don and me, thank you for caring!”
The total donated by our employees to the shelter was $880.00. But with the match from our Foundation, that amount was doubled.
With just $1,760 in donations, this shelter was able to feed their dogs for almost a month. It’s a great reminder that every dollar really does make a difference.
Before our next campaign starts this fall, we’re working on ways to improve the program so we can do even more good in 2018.
The first step is to get your feedback. We’ve created a quick survey for employees and retirees, to help us better understand what worked well and how we can improve the program.
The deadline to submit the anonymous survey is March 2nd.
We appreciate your time submitting your feedback!
For questions about the survey, please contact Tanya Culcleasure.
