I am writing to share with you the news that our Chief People Officer Mark Benjamin is leaving us to pursue a new opportunity at Boeing that puts him closer to his children in New Jersey and his mother and sisters in Maryland.
I am not surprised by Mark’s decision. He has shared with me during his time with us just how difficult it has been to be separated from his two wonderful children for these past two-plus years.
I am very thankful to Mark for his service here at National Life. He came to us in 2018 from American Express and brought us a fresh perspective on our most precious resource, our secret sauce – you.
Mark has led our people and culture strategy, including talent, performance, organization development, inclusion and total rewards programs. He provided great counsel to me in the past year as we confronted the challenges of the pandemic.
