It’s time for our Do Good brigades to hit the streets in Vermont and Texas and put our values to work. Literally.
We are organizing the spring volunteer initiative again and we’re aiming to commit at least 850 hours of our paid time to nonprofits in the area.
A number of opportunities have already been organized and you can go to National Life Today to find all of them and to sign up.
Details are still being worked out with other nonprofits and those opportunities will be posted at that page as they come together.
Our spring volunteer effort began many years ago when National Life would send a squad of volunteers to help out with the annual spring outdoor cleanup day known as Green Up Day.
As our volunteer efforts have grown, we’ve expanded and now we end up going to a dozen or more different agencies to lend a hand with their work.
And the one day of work expanded to a week and then to a month! So, while we will have a lot of events during the week of April 29-May3, there will continue to be concentrated opportunities throughout May.
Just a reminder that we do our best to keep track of the impact we make in the community. So please be sure to record your hours on the Volunteer Time Tracker on the front page of National Life Today.
