Become A Mentor With Everybody Wins! Vermont

Everbody Wins!, a Vermont literacy mentoring program, is looking for volunteers to become reading mentors.

Mentors are not tutors, but friends who read with the same child each week. When children are read to by a caring adult, research shows that their literacy improves — and so do their interest in other subjects, their confidence, social skills, and interest in school.

Everybody Wins! carefully matches mentors with children — they take into account personality, interests and preferences. Mentors commit to one full year of reading, once a week for one hour at one of their 24 school sites across the state.

If you are interested in becoming a mentor, visit the Everybody Wins! website and fill out their online application.
