Another member of our extended National Life family has begun to recover from Covid-19.

Terri Donelson, who works in the Contact Center, reports that her husband, Stephen, has been released from the hospital and is currently in a rehabilitation center.

Stephen spent 58 days in the hospital but was recovered enough to move to rehab about two weeks ago. There were news stories about Stephen’s and Terri’s ordeal in Texas Monthly and on the Dallas Fox station.

Terri reports that she was not able to see Stephen for 50 days.

But now that they’re able to be together, they wanted to share their story.

“We want to try and put a positive vibe in that there are recovery stories, as difficult as this journey has been and as hard as we have fought, there is power in love, family, and prayer,” Terri said.

And so they added their own positive vibe. Terri saw that the men of National Life were sharing photos of the beards they’ve grown during isolation. She sent us some photos of Stephen’s beard.

“On day 54 of beard growth, I shaved his COVID-19 quarantine beard on Tuesday, 5/12, to both of our great relief!” Terri reports.

We think he looks great both before and after the shave.

Thank you, Terri and Stephen, for sharing your story. Wishing you a continued return to health and strength.

Terri sent us this photo of Stephen with his full beard and the photo at top after he’d been shaved.
