Please see below for an exciting announcement from the Customer Innovation Group!
CIG Teammates,
We strongly value being a learning organization with associates who have a robust business acumen and who continually strive to delight our customers. Additionally, as a company,
we continue to experience record growth. As we grow in both size and depth, it is important that the support of our CIG associates grow as well. We in CIG Learning & Development are thrilled to announce two associates joining our team to support you — April Lindsey and Gabriela Balboa Smith!
April came to National Life Group in 2014 from Hyundai, where she worked as a Customer Relation Rep for a few years. She brought with her a drive for serving others, especially her customers and coworkers. Quickly demonstrating her passion for developing others, she identified training needs in the Contact Center and took the initiative to create meaningful learning solutions. Since then, April worked her way up from Customer Relation Rep I to a Team Lead, contributing her leadership by implementing positive changes and encouraging teammates to grow their potential and perform at their highest levels. April will officially join our team on June 3rd, 2019.
Before joining National Life Group two years ago, Gabriela worked at Norwich University, where she also received her MBA. While at NU, she led teams of academic advisors, onboarded new graduate students, and trained and developed student employees. As a Case Manager, Gabriela gained the trust of her agents by identifying their unique needs with English as a second language and creating enhanced learning experiences, so they could transition to the new e-app underwriting
program with ease. This caught the attention of Distribution and she was invited to represent New Business at Agency Kick Off events. After a transition period, Gabriela will officially be with our team full-time on June 17th, 2019.
We’re confident that April and Gabby’s drive to help others reach their potential will contribute greatly to the CIG L&D team. Please join us in congratulating April and Gabby on their new roles!
