A Wisconsin native, Owen Joined National Life in 1959 following service in the United States Air Force. Owen rose through the ranks at National Life rapidly, establishing Capital Formation Counselors in 1961 and becoming a National Life Group General Agent in 1964.
Passionate about helping family businesses preserve and sustain their enterprises for multiple generations, Owen served his clients for more than 60 years. His talents and expertise were known well beyond his immediate community, however, and he served on multiple industry, media, political and educational working groups and Boards and was an advisor to institutions ranging from Princeton University to the Republican Party to the United States Government.
Susan Roberts, Owen’s wife and business partner of 53 years, continues to lead Capital Formation Counselors and stewards the relationships and legacies they have built over the decades
We extend our deepest sympathy to Susan and the entire Roberts family as we celebrate Owen’s long and vibrant life, which was centered in business and community principles of Do Good, Be Good, Make Good.
