A barred owl made a visit to the Vermont campus a few weeks ago. It turns out the little guy was picked up by state Fish and Wildlife because it had eye and head injuries.

The young owl was brought to the Vermont Institute of Natural Science (VINS) where it could be nursed back to health. His eyesight wasn’t perfect anymore, but he was healthy enough to be released back into the wild. So after he recovered, Fish and Wildlife brought him back to the National Life campus and let him go on his way.
