As many as 120 or so employees have reported to the Vermont office over the past two weeks as the first phase of our return to campus has progressed.

That number includes 75 or so employees who have been working in Montpelier regularly since our remote work protocol was instituted.

There are still no plans for a return to the Addison campus because of the continued spread of the pandemic in Texas. And there are also no plans to expand the Vermont pilot phase for now.

Of the 45 to 50 people who have returned to Montpelier during the volunteer phase, some have been going into the office each day and others work a handful of days a week in the office and the rest of the time they work remotely.

For anyone who is working on campus, Sodexo is still offering food service, which can be ordered using the Bite app on a smartphone. Orders have not been robust, so the service may need to be discontinued unless business picks up.

There are a little more than 200 people on the list who are authorized to return to the Vermont office, as long as they comply with conditions.

Those include following the guidance of Vermont state government about quarantining after returning from out-of-state trips, having temperatures taken before entering the building, and wearing a face mask when in the building.

Another protocol is that anyone who is working in the office needs to have a workstation that’s at least six feet away from anyone else.

There have been a few instances where someone had to move because they would otherwise have been too close to a colleague.

We’ve also had a number of people whose work stations have moved because of renovations on the second floor for the new Sentinel and Equity Services Inc. space.

That, in turn, opened space on the fourth floor, where some operations teams and others have moved.

So, are you interested in seeing where people sit now? Check out the cool new software that does just that. It’s called OfficeSpace. Just click on it and you can take a virtual tour of either campus.
