We heard recently from a family who wanted to share the story of their father, who sold for National Life in the Midwest.

It’s an important story for this moment in time and we want them to tell the story. So below is the email from Albert L. Moore.

“My father Albert Moore Jr, worked for your company during the mid ‘60s, a time when being a young black man was just very dangerous.

“But National Life Insurance Company here in St. Louis, Missouri, allowed Albert Moore Jr. to grow. I remember him working day and night on his BOOKS at the dining room table. He was top insurance sales man.

“Remembering a conversation we had about his daily routine, he stated, ‘I pound the pavement and go door to door, collecting and selling insurance.’

“Now the BOOKS. As kid it was t0o heavy to lift. It was about 10 inches thick, full of very, very thin paper, and he had several of them. Every line, every page was full of policyholders. The BOOK,  basically held gigabytes of information. It looked like a large leather wrapped brief case.

“I could go on for days about his experience with National Life Insurance Company. I guess I can end by saying, Thank you National Life Insurance. My father Albert Moore Jr passed away in 1994. I am grateful for the opportunity you gave him. It led to the success of his children and grandchildren.”
