Big thank you to Charlie Maitland, Anne-Marie Bobay, Anna Travers, Erin King, and Deb Loomis for helping guide the waste sorting stations during the first few days of operation “dishwasher down”. These Green Ambassadors did an awesome job helping educate patrons of the café and ensuring things went to the proper place. Thanks to their efforts to collect compostable paper products and plant-based plastic utensils (and this special one-time partnership they organized with Green Mountain Compost). 7 cubic yards of waste was diverted from the landfill. Our kitchen now has a new high-efficiency dishwasher and we’re back to using washable plates, cups, and utensils. Great work and thank you! – Scott Rogers
