National Life has long supported the good work of Central Vermont Home Health and Hospice (CVHHH). As our population ages and since November is National Hospice and Palliative Care Month, we teamed up with CVHHH to host the opening of an exhibit called “Being There.”

This collection of fourteen local caregiver portraits and stories shines a light on the critical role caregivers provide.

Explains Emily McKenna, Marketing and Communications Manager at CVHHH, “Conversations about hospice are often, understandably, told from the patient’s perspective. I was intrigued by (the photographer) Corey’s idea to explore the lives of hospice caregivers, volunteers, and family members of hospice patients. What do they do to maintain a sense of balance after they give so much of their time and energy to care for someone else?”

The exhibit will run through November in the lounge and hallway between the cafeteria and main lobby.
