Capstone, the community action agency for central Vermont, has asked for our help in recruiting volunteers who can prepare tax returns for its low-income clients.
Capstone provides the training and the work space.
Under the program, low-income central Vermonters were able to collect more than $1 million in aggregate through tax refunds that they might otherwise not get.
Capstone says that is a huge economic boost for the community.
No expertise is needed because Capstone says it will provide the training and supervision that’s needed.
