On Saturday, October 26th from 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM the water will be shut down to the Dewey Building and possibly the entire campus.
This is necessary to replace a valve in front of the building and to install a back-flow preventer on the water service coming in. The campus has two water feeds from the City which should allow the water to remain on for the Main and Davis buildings while this work is being done. However, if the shut-off valve does not hold (circa 1988) we will need to shut both water supplies off at the street which will completely shut down the campus. This work should take a few hours to complete, however we are planning for worst case scenario by saying 3:00 pm.
With the water supply off, no one should be in the buildings for work or exercise purposes.
