Here’s a huge thanks to the teams from the Customer Innovation Group who set the standard for our fall volunteering initiative.
And, just a reminder, that there are more opportunities as we push in the fourth quarter to surpass last year’s total volunteer hours.
Their initiative was part of our corporate cause to end childhood hunger.
CIG teams from both campuses, comprising almost 70 of our teammates, fanned out last Friday to participate in Beat Hunger Day.
They worked on projects that included vegetable harvesting at a homeless shelter, gleaning apples and vegetables, office projects for a hunger relief organization, a brainstorming session for the 3Squares challenge, sorting food for delivery to those who need it, and organizational efforts for our #DoGoodFeedKids food drive.
Organizations that benefited included the North Texas Food Bank, the Vermont Foodbank, Hunger Free Vermont, ANEW Place, and the Intervale.
If you’ve still got some of your 40 hours of paid time off left to volunteer, we’ve got opportunities in both Vermont and Texas.
