Here is a list of facilities related activities to share with your teams.
Dallas Campus Activities
Modernization
* The 8th and 11th floor updates, branding, and renovations are completed. The 9th floor will be open in a few days which will provide a multipurpose area for larger meetings; department collaborations or events; and for breaks or lunch. We already have several large important meetings taking place on the floor over the next several weeks. More information will be sent to the campus soon regarding what is available for booking and the Outlook names for each space.
Life Safety
* We conducted a shelter in place (lockdown) drills on the Addison campus a few weeks ago. Thanks to all who participated.
Vermont Campus Activities
Emergency Repairs to Underground Pipes
* Work is underway in the front of the main building to replace the aged pipes between our underground oil tanks and the boilers. This work will impact traffic and handicap parking and will be completed in the next few weeks.
Parking Management System Upgrades
* We will be rolling out new parking management software in the coming month. We will start the communication on this in the next few weeks. This new system will help with parking enforcement, notification to drivers of issues with vehicles, and an automated ticketing process.
Electrical Upgrade Project
* The electrical infrastructure project includes replacing the aging electrical components in the main building over the next few years. This work is well underway with the exterior work finished for the most part and interior work well underway for the foreseeable future.
Main Building Lobby
* The main building lobby will be renovated in 2017. We are working with an architect on possible designs. We are looking to make this a marquee space for National Life Group.
Storm Water Repairs
* We have one more storm drain near the access road to change in the next few weeks. We don’t expect major impacts to parking or traffic flow.
Executive Row Carpet
* We will have a contractor changing out the executive row carpet over the next few weeks. This is due to a warranty claim for defective product.
Logging on NLGroup Property
* As part of our woodland conservation plan, we will be logging two large portions of wooded areas. The trees are marked for removal and work will begin in late November and continue through the winter months. Please be aware of the equipment when using the Par Course.
Life Safety
* We will be conducting shelter in place (lockdown) drills before the end of this year on the Montpelier campus. We will have information coming out ahead of time to educate occupants on procedures and expectations. We will partner with local authorities to participate and answer questions following the exercise.
