On July 27th, IT will be enabling our new email encryption system, ProofPoint encryption. You may recall our old email encryption system, Voltage, which will remain active until July 31st. Please note, you have until July 31st to access any old encrypted messages.

If you receive an encrypted email from the new encryption system, you will need to setup an account. Please use a unique, complex password as going forward you’ll be able to see all of your encrypted messages from one view using your new account!

Note that an encrypted message will always appear to come from an individual user, not a specific account. Unsure if an encryption notification you received is legitimate? Use the phish button or forward the email to our Information Security team for their review.

Need help getting setup on the new encryption system? Contact the helpdesk for assistance at x3000 or check out the guide here.
