It’s Puppy Adoption Day!!

Today, May 17th from 12:00 – 3:00pm we’ll have Do Good tents set up on the lawn outside of the cafeteria. You can stop by to meet the dogs or speak to the shelter’s volunteers.
Please keep in mind that this is a same day adoption and puppies cannot be reserved. Puppies are not allowed in the building – if you are interested in adopting, be prepared to take the dog home immediately after adoption is complete.

In order to keep stress levels low for the puppies, only people who have filled out an adopter form and are seriously thinking of adopting will be able to go into the pen with the pups.  Too many people at once is very stressful for these youngsters!  You are welcome to come see them and pet them outside the pen. CVHS staff and volunteers will be there to answer all your questions.

There will be printed versions of the adoption survey and the dog adopter information form, but it is recommended you fill out these forms  prior to the event if possible.

For more information on the adoption fees and requirements, please visit the shelter’s website.

The puppies will be new to Vermont so CVHS won’t have much information on them. Their breed is unknown, and they are all considered “American shelter mutts” – the best kind!

For questions about the adoption process, please contact the shelter at 802-476-3811, or email info@centralvermonthumane.org.
