As you may know, a study commissioned by the National Life Group Foundation about childhood hunger and food insecurity in Vermont was released last month. It is our cause.

Since then, a group of thought leaders in the Vermont community has been formed to begin tackling the issue. These experts in the field are working as a Steering Committee to initiate solutions. But we need your help, too!

“Recognizing that food insecurity and hunger does indeed exist in our communities and we as individuals and organizations can help has become more and more clear. That’s why at National Life we decided in 2018 we want to help end childhood hunger in Vermont.  Once we determined that, the question then became, what does ‘help’ look like?”
– Beth Rusnock, President of the National Life Group Foundation

This Tuesday, May 7th, the Employee Action Team (E.A.T.) will meet for the first time to brainstorm ideas on how we – our National Life employees – can truly help.

For years, we have supported the good work of anti-hunger organizations with grants, sponsorships, volunteer time, food drives, and more. But even so, the number of food insecure kids hasn’t diminished significantly over the years.

It truly takes a village to make an impact, but together, we can do this.

Join us at the first E.A.T. meeting:
Tuesday, May 7th
3:00 – 4:00 pm
Eagle (Boardroom) in Executive Row – Vermont

Texas and remote employees, we want to hear from you too!
Dial in and join us:(802) 229-3134, 16968906#
We will brainstorm how to help end childhood hunger in your communities as well.

Email Allison Steinmetz to be added to the calendar invite.

Bring your ideas. Bring your optimism. Bring your enthusiasm.
