Michele Dungworth has been promoted to the position of Assistant Vice President (AVP), Market Conduct and Compliance. Michele joined National Life’s MC&C team four years ago as a Director. She quickly moved into a people leader role, and assumed oversight for formal customer complaints, privacy, regulatory reporting and oversight for general compliance issues and monitoring activities. She later assumed oversight for fixed suitability review and regulatory research and monitoring. More recently she has coordinated and led our response efforts in state market conduct examinations conducted by New York, Illinois, California and Texas. Michele brings great depth to the company after serving over 20 years with a peer carrier in the areas of compliance, regulatory exams, finance and operations.
Brenda Slayton has been promoted to the position of Sr. Market Conduct & Compliance Associate. Brenda joined the MC&C team in November 2017 from the Billing team, and focused her efforts on customer complaint resolution. At the same time, she began cross-training and learning how to review advertising materials, passing her Series 7 and Series 24 exams within 6 months of hire to become a Registered Principal. Brenda is in the process of transferring full time into an advertising review role within MC&C. Brenda has over 29 years of experience with the Company and her broad expertise and passion for learning new things is truly an asset.
