Mindfulness Moment with Health and Wellness Center Staff

Mindfulness is the ability to be fully present in the moment. It is increasing awareness of where we are, what we are doing, and what we are feeling. Bringing ourselves back to the moment, through mindfulness-based activities, has been found to help lower stress, decrease reactivity, focus our minds, and even decrease physical discomfort.

Come join us for 15 mindful minutes in the Cardinal conference room at 2:00 pm on Monday, December 17, Wednesday, December 19, Wednesday, December 26. We will be doing a 10 minute guided meditation, delivered through the mindfulness and meditation service “Calm.” After a few minutes of guidance with mindful breathing, meditations will reflect on anxiety, sleep issues, relationships and more. This is a great way to introduce the idea of becoming more mindful, in an effort to reduce stress and improve coping with what each day brings our way.

Please arrive at 2pm for gathering, put phones on silent, and then we will start the session promptly at 2:05pm. If you are running late and the session has already started then please join us at the next gathering!
