I am pleased to announce that Michael Crawford has been promoted to Chief Actuary. Michael currently is the Appointed Actuary for National Life Insurance Company and Life Insurance Company of the Southwest. He also leads our Actuarial Modeling Team. As a result of his promotion, he will immediately add the leadership of our Annuity Valuation, Life Valuation, and Actuarial Forecasting teams to his existing responsibilities.
Michael has been with National Life Group for over 10 years, greatly contributing to our understanding of our policyholder obligations and thereby helping us to “Keep our Promises.” Specifically, he has lead our Annuity Valuation team before transitioning to leading the Modeling team a couple of years ago. Before National Life Group, Michael held increasingly important actuarial positions at Pan American Life, SCOR Life US Re, American Express Financial Advisors, and Provident Mutual.
