Welcoming Two New Directors of Life & Annuity Claims

We are pleased to announce that two new Directors of Life & Annuity Claims have recently joined National Life Group.  Johanna Petty-Dunlap will be located on the Vermont campus, and Tim Quick will be located on the Texas campus.

Johanna Petty-Dunlap joined us in August as Director of Life & Annuity Claims with over 15 years of client services experience within the insurance industry. She will be responsible in working closely with our Living Benefits and Claims Support Team to maximize opportunities and effectiveness. Since 1997, Johanna has worked directly with consumers, financial advisors, and insurance brokers. Her experience includes sales operations, marketing, case design, process improvement, claims, arbitration, and underwriting.

Johanna entered the Life insurance industry in 2004 as an Internal Sales Operations Associate with Bisys (now Crump Life Insurance Services), working with Financial Advisors and Independent Agents. During her 10 years at Crump Life, she went on to hold several leadership roles within sales operations, marketing, case management and compliance.  In 2014, Johanna joined AIG as an Internal Sales Manager where she successfully built and trained the national sales force and operations team to support Edward Jones on a multi-carrier platform.

Johanna earned her Master’s Degree in Business Management from Ashford University and holds the Associate, Life Management Institute designation. Johanna lives in Waterbury, Vermont with her two sons, Jeremy and Joseph. 

Timothy Quick joined us in October as Director of Life & Annuity Claims with primary responsibility for the Death Claim Team.  Tim joins us from his home state of Michigan where he most recently led several areas of operations within Michigan Farm Bureau Insurance’s life and annuity company, including: life and annuity claims, the customer contact center, in-force\title processing, corporate projects, and reinsurance administration. Tim received his BS and MBA from Michigan State University, his Applied Project Management Certification from the University of California at Irvine, and is presently completing coursework on Lean Six Sigma practices from the Certified Insurance Operations Professional Institute.

Before beginning his career in insurance, Tim previously worked in the public sector where he was appointed by former Governor Jennifer M. Granholm to oversee her administration’s public relations operation. After serving nearly two terms with the Granholm administration, Tim led the administrative hearings system for the Michigan Liquor Control Commission, where he specialized in regulatory and legislative compliance and analysis.

Tim currently resides in Dallas with his husband Joe, who works as a national talent pipeline and economic development consultant.
