Celebrations of our 170th anniversary began this week with a reunion of three National Life CEOs.
One of them actually never held the title CEO because it didn’t exist at the time he led the company.
And, to be honest, it might not have actually been Julius Dewey who gathered with former CEO Tom MacLeay and current CEO Mehran Assadi.
But you’ve gotta admit, the guy sure looks like Julius Dewey. And sounds an awful lot like what he must have sounded like. Maybe it really is him.
At any rate, Dr. Dewey, Tom and Mehran presided over an open house and reception kicking off a week of 170th anniversary events.
They conclude on Tuesday of next week – which is Nov. 13, the actual anniversary of the date the Vermont Legislature chartered the National Life Insurance Co. of the United States – with an all-employee meeting for Texas, Vermont and all remote employees at 10 a.m.
And then the Vermont campus will host an open house and reception similar the one in Addison this week.
In Texas, a new history exhibit tracing National Life’s founding and growth was unveiled.
If you’ve got photos from any of the events, please be sure to share them on social media with the hashtags #NationalLifeAt170 or #DeweyGood.
