Sure, there was some cold and rain in the Dallas region this week. But Do Gooders don’t let that get in the way of a great birthday party.
The annual National Life BBQ in Texas was festive and fun by all accounts.
The Addison Conference Center was decked out in National Life green because this was one of the events leading up to our 170th birthday.
Volunteers greeted employees as they arrived by bus from the office.
After a good, old-fashioned Texas barbecue, the real party got under way with games, face painting and lots of dancing.
And not just any dancing. The partiers couldn’t resist an opportunity to Do the Dewey, with Mehran Assadi joining in.
There was some good-natured competition during the games and we’ve got some winners:
- $100 winner Junan Boldrey
- $100 winner Kassie Eames
- $75 winner Kyle Patterson
We’ve got tons of photos, so what you see here are only a selection. Employees can see a gallery on National Life Today.
And by the way, a huge shout-out to the team of volunteers – wearing our distinctive black volunteer t-shirts – who worked so hard to organize the party. What a great job! Thank you!
