Dear Teammates:

It is with mixed emotions that I announce Tom Anfuso will be leaving National Life on September 30th to become the EVP Global CIO Claims at Chubb. This role will be in Philadelphia, close to Tom’s family. While I am personally very happy for Tom, I will miss his leadership, friendship and sense of humor. During his time with us, Tom largely rebuilt IT, often rolling up his sleeves and working directly on whatever challenge appeared.

In the same breath, it is with great pleasure I announce the appointment and promotion of Nimesh Mehta as our new SVP & Chief Information Officer effective October 1, 2018. Nimesh has been a part of our strategic, technical and operational journey over the last 11 years, first serving as our Chief Technology Officer, then Chief Strategy Officer and currently as the Head of our Customer Service Center.

In the last year Nimesh has been fully immersed in operations, learning every day about our customers and operational pain points. During this time, the operations organization has changed dramatically: increasing our size, rethinking our services and becoming more connected to our distribution. Nimesh’s rich experience with business and technology will help fuel our continued evolution and drive customer experience that is scalable and digitally enabled.

I am excited for his return to a critical part of our business that I know he loves, after a learning journey, bringing with him a broader strategic perspective. Mehran and I welcome him to the Executive Management Team and look forward to his leadership and counsel as part of this team.

We will not be replacing Nimesh’s role as the Head of CSC and all his reports will report directly to me on October 1st. We are all working on an orderly transition with a clear focus on execution, as we inch towards the fourth quarter.
