A new health and wellness center will open on the Vermont campus next month.

CEO Mehran Assadi announced at this week’s all-employee meeting that the center is designed as a pilot project with Cigna, our health insurer.

If it is a success, National Life will look at how to expand the concept to the Texas campus.

When it opens, the health and wellness center will offer:

  • Minor office based procedures
  • Routine Physical
  • Episodic Care- sprains, strains, sore throat, ear infections, headaches, just not feeling well
  • Acute Care — Full history and exam, lifestyle risk assessment, preventative care and coordination
of referrals to the community into the healthcare system efficiently
  • Flu Vaccinations/Immunizations
  • Monitor chronic conditions
  • Preventative Health Screenings
  • Biometric Screenings
  • Laboratory Services
  • Health and Wellness programs

Gov. Phil Scott has been invited to join Mehran for a ribbon-cutting at the center next month.
