Did you start poking around The Weekly this morning and realize that there’s something new? Well, you’re right.
We’ve shifted to a new email distribution platform. And the articles themselves are on a new platform, a blog very similar to our Main Street Blog.
We hope you won’t see too many glitches as we make the transition. There are a few things we wanted to point out.
First, if you’re looking for upcoming events, there’s a new format. They’re still listed in the email. But when you get to the articles, look in the upper right for a green bar labeled “Events.” If you click on that, you’ll find a calendar that includes upcoming volunteer opportunities as well other events.
Just below that link, you’ll find another green bar labeled “Classifieds.” This is a new feature that should make it easier for anyone who wants to place a classified.
This will allow you to submit and manage ads on your own with no need to send an email to the “Classifieds” address. Simply visit the new Classifieds section on the Weekly blog, select “Add New Listing”, create an account and off you go. It’s that easy! We ask that you adhere to the policy on the Classifieds homepage and keep your postings up-to-date. Thanks and enjoy the new setup!
