Managers from the Customer Innovation Group decided to got into the spirit of the Spread the Good initiative recently.

They greeted their teammates on the Texas campus as everyone got off the elevators.

The managers held signs that read “Thank You” and “You’re Valued” and they cheered everyone, even folks from other floors who stopped by to find out what the fuss was all about.

Everyone was served doughnuts, fruits, coffee, tea and juice.

Apparently even people who worked on other floors of Millennium Tower – not National Life employees – were impressed. “I wish I worked there,” more than one said.

What a great idea by the folks in CIG. Are there others? Have there been similar initiatives elsewhere around the company?

Actually, yes. The leadership in the Office of the Chief Information Officer (the IT folks!) passed through the floors on the Vermont campus recently wearing bakers’ caps and passing out baked goods. (We’re pretty sure they didn’t do the baking, by the way.)
