CEO Mehran Assadi says National Life’s corporate culture is a key to the company’s success.

“I see the value every single day,” Mehran told Texas employees this week. “What we have going on in our company is unique and is contributing to our bottom line.”

Mehran’s comments came at employee workshops designed to deepen the corporate culture of engagement and empowerment.

“Our culture is contagious,” he said. “Our culture is now part of our brand. It is who we are.”

The workshops were held this week on the Texas campus and will be held next week on the Vermont campus.

Colleagues shared their Do Good stories – both from their work life and their personal life – detailing ways that they live National Life’s values to Do Good. Be Good. and Make Good.

Jackie Freiberg, author of CAUSE!, the best-selling book about National Life’s culture, led the workshops.

One segment focused on effective communications. Employees detailed what works and what doesn’t work and proposed solutions to make communications more effective.

Those proposed solutions are being collected and will be shared.

Similar workshops will be held on the Vermont campus next week.
