A team from the Texas campus volunteered at the North Texas Food Bank Distribution Center (NTFB) last Friday.
They boxed food that’s delivered to senior citizens through the Nourishing Neighbors program.
The boxes are delivered to senior citizens who are home bound and cannot go to the grocery store.
The team worked two shifts throughout the day.
The morning team assisted with filling 11 pallets, 487 boxes, 15,400 pound and 12, 833 meals.
Later in the afternoon they were able to fill 13 pallets, 591 boxes, 18, 200 pounds and 15, 167 meals.
