On Monday, August 21st the continental United States will be treated to its first total solar eclipse in 38 years.

In order to view the total solar eclipse, you must be located within the “Path of Totality”.

The path will begin in Oregon and cross through fourteen states, eventually ending in South Carolina.

National Life campuses located in Montpelier and Dallas, although outside this path, will still experience a partial solar eclipse of up to 75% totality.

So, we’re throwing a viewing party!

Here’s the details for both campuses:

TX Campus:

Monday, August 21st from 12:30-2:30 CST.

Max totality will occur at 1:09 PM CST (this is when the most coverage of the sun will occur).

Location will be the top floor of the parking garage on the far west end, south side.

VT Campus:

Monday, August 21st from 1:30-3:30 EST.

Max totality will occur at 2:41 PM EST.

Location will be on the cafeteria patio/back lawn.

NASA certified safety glasses as well as eclipse-themed baked goods will be provided on both campuses.
