You can post the photo on your Facebook page if you want to show off how dirty or how clean your car is. But there’s another good reason.

It’ll help you remember your license plate number. (It might also help you remember where you parked it!) And, if you’re on the Vermont campus, you need to know the plate number so you can register for the new parking management system.

There’s a deadline of March 1st for signing up for a new parking permit. There are only a few things you’ll need for the online registration and the one that’s toughest to remember for a lot of us is our plate number.

So just take a quick shot on your phone and then you can register.

Please copy and paste the following address into your browser:

https://www.permitsales.net/NationalLife

When logging in, you will enter you Employee Number (your “H” number), and last name.  You may register up to three vehicles via the online portal by finishing one vehicle and then going back through to add other vehicles.

You will need your Vehicle License Plate number and State, a good contact telephone number for us to reach you in an emergency, and the best address for Rydin to mail you your parking stickers.  The mailing address can be either your home or work address.

Once registered, you will receive an email with a Temporary Parking Permit that you can print and leave on your dashboard until your permanent stickers arrive in the mail.  The permanent stickers go in the lower passenger side (right side) corner of your windshield, and not transferable.

If anyone has difficulties using the online registration, you may complete a printed form that will be available at the security desks in the Davis and Main Building lobbies for each vehicle you want to register.

The advantages of the new system will help insure that accountability for all vehicles on campus and the ability to contact the drivers should there be an emergent need to reach you about your car.

Remote employees do not need to register personal vehicles in the Vermont campus parking management system unless you intend to drive them to campus.

If you visit utilizing rental vehicles, please just stop at the main lobby security desk each time you visit and let them know your rental car information and the length of your stay.  You may then park on campus without worry.

Security will maintain a listing of anyone using temporary transportation along with a contact method to reach you in case there is an issue with the vehicle.
