The first Do Good Tour stop of 2017 was at the Donna Expo in Jacksonville, Florida last weekend.
Sadia Sindhu and Tara Showalter from National Financial Services Group and Michele Dienst from our home office were at the expo under our Do Good tent on Friday and Saturday.
The Expo is part of the Donna Marathon Weekend, which brings in thousands of runners and their supporters from all over the world. The marathon is the only one in the country that’s dedicated to breast cancer research and care, and it’s listed as one of CNN Travel’s 7 US Marathons Worth the Trip.
During the event, the group raffled off a Garmin Pink Forerunner watch and a basket of runner’s essentials, which resulted in leads for the agency to follow up on.
They also presented Donna Deegan from the Donna Foundation with a check for $500 from the National Life Foundation.
The Donna Foundation, which is based in northeast Florida, provides financial assistance and support to families living with breast cancer, and also funds groundbreaking cancer research.
