Being a Top 10 Insurance Carrier has taken careful strategic planning, execution, agility, and something that no other carrier can compete with – our people, the secret sauce. As the business continues to grow, the Sales Desk is proactively working to position ourselves in a way that brings the highest value to our Distribution Partners and our teammates around the organization. We have added some new talent to our leadership team and are leveraging existing talent to strengthen our ability to onboard, develop and grow associates within our Internal Sales Team.
Shadara MacNicol is our newest Manager in Vermont. Shadara joined us from Frazer Insurance Agency in New Hampshire where she was an agent selling Life & Health as well as Property & Casualty products. Previously, she was with Liberty Mutual where she was recognized five times as a “Pacesetter”, an award given to Sales Representatives in their first few years on the job who perform over-and-above sales expectations. At Liberty, she developed several personal trackers to assist with productivity and commission tracing as well earning recognition for life insurance sales as a Rookie Agent.
A native of California, Shadara currently resides in Quechee, VT. She is an avid outdoor enthusiast and sports fan. At home, her 13-year-old Yorkie, Bella, keeps her company while her 23-year-old daughter is living her best life in California as a make-up artist and attending Coachella.
Gary Lenz, CLU will continue as Manager and will focus primarily on Sales Desk Talent Development. Gary has been with National Life Group on the Sales Desk for 13-years. He has consistently leveraged his experience as an agent to train countless Internal Sales Associates, Field Leaders, Home Office Associates and Agents. Gary is well respected by our distribution partners and field leaders. His passion for this industry is unmatched and teaching others is where he shines. Gary has 25+ years in Financial Services between banking and insurance.
When Gary is away from the office, he can be found working on home improvements, at car shows, working on his own classic car or spending time with his grandchildren. Gary lives in South Burlington with his wife, Carol, and his 4 miniature Dachshunds.
